Huge, Creative Loft Space in a Changing SOMA

I’ve decided to write about the best place I’ve seen on tour each week…
Listed by Victoria Tucker and Joan Foppiano, 9 Bernice Place in SoMa, San Francisco is a lot of loft, with over 6,000 sqft, 2 stories and great views, whether one is inside or out on the patio.  It has direct elevator access to the interior of the unit.  3 car garage parking is included, but it could house 4-5 cars in the garage if you added a stacker or two.

I love the loft’s roll-up door access to the patio and how it changes the space once opened:

I used to live across the street, in a much smaller loft, about 10+ years ago.  The area has really changed and I think this is a great area to try out new ideas, since it is still growing as a neighborhood:

Food Trucks get a formal home in SoMa:  SoMa StrEat Food Park  Wow, heated outdoor seating and free WiFi!  Great place for it since SoMa can be warmer and sunnier than many neighborhoods in SF.

There’s really a lot of light and a nice, open feel.  The lower floor has stained concrete, and the upper has wide-plank floors that look to me like they are reclaimed.  I like how the bathing environments have a spa feel:

The stager has outfitted the lower level with a place to play basketball, which seems like a fun idea.   The owner also has a pool table in the same vicinity:

But beyond a place to play and relax, this is a creative, sophisticated space for adults as well, with areas for formal dining, social events plus a private patio:
